Moses and Yeshua
Each brought new ideas to people steeped in /the old ways.
Take the Golden Calf, for example.
Those were the gods the people worshipped in Egypt.
Moses offered them freedom not only from Egypt, but from their gods.
Some did recognize I AM THAT I AM; however, Moses still had a difficult time persuading.
IN Yeshua's case, the Jewish Religion revolved (still does) around the Temple in Jerusalem and the priesthood. At that time, Judaism abounded with disparate voices; yet the Zadokites held control of religious practice, because they held control in the Temple, where all pilgrims came during the High Holy Days in Spring and Autumn.
Yeshua preached that humans were sacred and access to God did not depend on a place (see his exchange with the woman at the well).
This was contrary to the status quo.
Now, how can we question those who challenge contemporary status quo when both Moses and Yeshua did theirs?
Would it not be conceivable that these challengers might also be inspired by God?

Good Point!
Ok, I see what you're getting at, however, you talked about Moses and Jesus, or Yeshua if you like, overturning the status quo but does that mean that they totally dismissed all that had been laid out before? Jesus himself said he did not come to wreck the law but to fulfill it. Surely, in seeking the truth you don't mean that we dismiss all that we've arrived at so far?
