You need to realise that newspapers are not about providing information, and haven't been for about a generation and a half, especially in The U.S.A. but other countries are just as bad, with NZ being among the worst - last time I counted, our daily consisted of 60% adverts, and only about 40% news or editorials (not counting the letters to the editor page).
They are simply collections of adverts with news items slotted in to attract readers, with most stories either split over many pages or with the follow-up and detail somewhere inside.
Get used to it, or read the adverts - most of them are more informative than the "news" and "opinion" contained in the news parts.
