I have a very large family
and we experienced this problem many years ago and I came up with an easy solution. If you are a male you bring a male gift and if you are female you bring a female gift. We set a limit and the kids even had there own pile. I suggested this because I almost needed to rob a bank to buy gifts for all my neices and nephews. My husband and I have always bought gifts for everyone and we usually walked away without anything, which was fine with us but the gift given became such a burden for my grandparents yrs ago that lived on fixed incomes
