Posting a picture, with a considerate write-up...
I think would be tasteful and show honor to the tough little rider that she is. Also, as you mention, give a face to go along with the stories. Newspapers and such do it all the time, except in the case of a rape victim sometimes. The picture on the women's pro site is very cute of Shiri. She looks like the sweetheart that she is...you'd never guess she's the ass-kicker she can be on the track. Do what feels right to you, but I think it would be something that would honor who she is and what she's accomplished. She's a pro after all, pro's end up written about all over the place...
At least you have the ethics to ask the question, even if just of yourself. Many nowadays don't even think to ask questions like that, about anything...
