Yes, I know...

It's hard to get a point across when people don't want to or are too afraid to try to understand a point of view.

They think that by trying to understand, it goes against their beliefs, when in fact, they just might find it may make them stronger.

I love it when someone comes along who seems to really understand the points I am trying to make, especially when they do not share all the same views as I do. To me that say a lot about how open minded the person is. You do not need to agree with other's points to be open minded, but understanding the points is what is important.

Can't seem to find it now....

I can't seem to find it now, but have been try to follow some of your posts and found it quite interesting one of the concepts you've brought up about "having only this time on earth" and "getting bored if you lived for ever"....something along that line....

How interesting.  If you had all the time in the world, even if you learned everything there is to possibly know, it wouldn't take "forever", then what would one do to entertain oneself?

I still believe in God, but that is a very interesting and kinda scary concept, especially for those of us who may not be entertained quite easily.

Not to discredit The Bible at all, but you can take just about any profacy or anything really and turn it into a reality if you are creative enough.  For instance, while searching for Tom Petty on the net, I came across this link....

Tom Petty Is Dead--The Official Page

http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Stage/4890/index2.html

There is really nothing on this page to say this isn't true, so it wasn't until further investigation I found out it was just something someone had used to prove that you can find clues almost anywhere to "PROVE" something to be true if you really want to.

You can imagine how devistated I was at first.  I have yet to see him in concert.

3rd back to god or whomever

this god, whoever this god is (you notice i don't say he or she) is by very nature indefineable.

period.

see that period at the end of the sentence?.

period.

.

so what do we do?

see everything that we can see as god.

period.

.

2nd -- back to god or whoever

sheesh!!!!!

the more anybody tries to define god the more they fail.

to me.

god is not to be defined, god just is.

but then againwhat is god.

the questions is not to be asked.   why?  because it cannot be answered.

why ask questions that cannot be answered?

let us all admit that none of us knows what god is.

let us live our lives as if we live in god whatever that is.

sheesh.

do you realize that this discussion could go on forever and never be resolved?

the alpha & omega tihng is in revelation near the end -- the person saying it is not god per se.  check out who is saying it and see what you com eup with.  remember the book is metaphor through and through.

going back to look at the post.
