Good comment gomedome

The god of religions…and “God” are to separate things. What if the 2000 year old message was right, but the way people are taught to understand it is wrong?

kooka_lives -- the trend towards non-belief is not unique in our country
Much the same is happening in Europe as well. It seems that once a country breaks out of a certain number or the non beleivers become more prevalent it is easier to admit such publicly without fear of reprisal. As we discussed before the USA is unique unto itself in terms of industrialized nations in having such a high percentage of believers. As for the decline of societal morals and values many still insist that it is because of a decline in religious belief. I take a contrarian view to this but do not suggest it is because of religious belief. Nonetheless religion let it happen on it's watch. Or more accurately allowed the decline to begin and accellerate while it still held enormous influence on our daily lives. All because of an across the board refusal to adjust with the changes in society. Now after several decades of societal decline the 2000 year old message is even more out of step with reality.

Christian…Atheist…labels mean nothing

…It is the lies that people believe in that bring every country down. In fact, countries are a lie…God did not make them…man did so he could keep his lies separate.

kooka, I have a challenge for you.

Write a post from your point of view, forget the Bible, don’t even refer to it. Forget the labels people use to define themselves, and forget what you have heard others say about God.

The subject of your post is, “In order for there to be a God”

Questions to answer are;

He would have to be what?

He would have to be able to do what?

Don’t throw any stones at anyone, simply try to explain that for a Entity to be considered God it must be able to do what?
