I wrote a post about this exact thing myself. My overall goal is to produce "quality" blogs that satisfy myself. If I stay true to this, the readers will follow and so will the rankings. I've realized that in order to stay in the top ten, you have to be sensational, good, and post frequently. I think I have the "good" part covered, but I'm never sensational and the posting frequently is sometimes not possible. Oh, well. Once I've earned more than I've paid to be here, then I'll be successful as a "blogger." You will too.
