God never made me feel worthless.
I was confused in my life and I cospired with people and places and things to make myself feel worthless. I always knew that if I could figure out what the heck was going on that I would be welcome in the presence of the Lord. And now I am a man-boy who has Christ in him. A direct connection to eternity. God doesn't make me feel bad. My own brain does that. Peace Kooka!

Very good issue raised and the whole 'I am not worthy of God' thing
is a religious con game. The bible does not teach that we are inferior or unworthy of God. Rather, it teaches that we are ( Those who have accepted the invitation) are joint hiers and seated with the Son of God in the positions of honor and royalty in Heavan. We are, in fact, children of God. Equal with the Son ( Jesus) as adopted but by no means inferior, to His Sonship. We are adopted into the family of Elohim and He never bestows shame upon His kids, anymore than you would with your children. This is all throughout the New Testament.

parents?
I've said this before
the concept of god is human perception
i wouldn't want such a parent either.
men have to divorce themselves from the mythical concept they have
and a more real god will manifest.

Your "pet" analogy is a good one, because many people I speak with are exactly like that! They believe in this "withholding God", this "God of fear"; that could strike down sinners (like me) for evening questioning the mind or existence of such God. My question is: who in their right mind would praise a being like that?

A "I am not worthy attitude". . .
cheapens what Christ did on the cross. Someone's worth for your love is determined by you, not the recipient. Christ went to the cross for all of us, we are all worthy, to say otherwise is a form of false pride.

God says love others as you love yourself. Therefore, we are not worthless
either in His eyes or in our own. Self-love is based on worth and value. I think sometimes misconceptions of God creep in and we feel self-condemned, but the God I know loves me and I love and respect Him back. He created me. I didn't create Him. He is greater than me and I am fine with that.
