I've visited farm houses before. Rustic life style indeed.

believe it or not
I've done a lot of those things, and some not mentioned on your list. In the aspect of having lived a 'country lifestyle', we are not that much different

I haven't done any of those things
except be born in the early '40s. I saw Roy and Trigger in person once but did not get to touch them. So I guess I'm a war baby? I know I'm not a Boomer, but since when did the Boomers encompass so many years? It confuses me.
Anyway, I enjoy reading about your interesting life and your religious views. Keep writing, we need to hear from more to clear the air. I have no use for zealots and fanatics. I don't believe in the Rapture or being born again in the usual sense. I believe in God, but don't care to pigeonhole him or control him to my own ends. Oh, and I don't believe in GWB at all.
I'll be back to read more.

good comment -- agreed in a lot of ways
maybe if you elucidate maybe i can show where i agree and where i disagree.
too many people today have too much, do too little, and are too protected and insulated as they grow up.
wqe reachec our zenith as a country in the 70's -- we don't have the generations to keep our country operating.

Today, we don't start growing up until after college. We are taught to call a professional. Laws run rampant forbidding us from hurting ourselves. Society is smothered. And we consider ourselves lucky to live in a housing track!
