Spitfire, sometimes it amazes me how these things work.

When I came out the other side, through the pain, so much had changed re: where I was, and where I was headed.

My friend, I agree with everything you said in this post.
Most major things do happen for a reason. Just the same as why we choose certain challenges and lessons to experience before even coming into this life. We don't choose exactly how they will unfold, nor can we choose to KNOW what exact lessons and challenges we chose or why; that would only defeat the purpose. However, one of the main lessons all of us hopefully, eventually learn during this life is the truest saying, "when one door closes, another one opens." And though, at that time, we may feel devistated, but after finding the strength, trust, and courage to walk through that new open door, we then realize the worth of our pain and sacrifice. It only leads us onto our next journey; our new chapter in this life which will further progress our soul.

Pickles, thank you for your wonderful comment. I do feel very fortunate to
be able to express my emotions in tangible form, i.e., sentences, that are not only healing for myself but in this case, were healing for another blogger as well. Thanks for visiting.

Quirky
You are very brave and very strong to have the ability to use words to express your feelings, hurt, anger, growth and understanding. Things do happen for a reason but it's a shame that so much hurt has to happen to get to that point. I hope you feel the value in your ability to not only share your pain but to teach others that there is a way forward and a whole lot more to life than just one thing - no matter how big and horrible it might seem. Take care.

Ca88, thanks for your nice comment. Many people do have trouble wrapping
their minds around the concept of "everything happens for a reason," but when you said "...but often they happen to lead us to something else that we might have missed before."---well, that IS a reason, is it not??

wordsmith--thanks for a very insightful comment. Choosing to reveal

or not reveal, is everyone's personal choice, and some are not ready in their evolution, or healing, or path in life, to tell the world, (either the "real" one or the "virtual" one) much beyond superficial information. I didn't see my choice to reveal as a courageous one but rather necessary for where I wanted to go, need to go...and I'm ready to deal with the consequences. P.S.  Is that 30 days coming up soon so you can change your name?)

whammie, people wear false faces in both the real and virtual world...
but in some ways, it is easier for people, especially ones like me, to "lay bare their soul" to a virtual community, because if someone judges me by what I reveal, I don't have to see their face, don't have to look them in the eye. That being said, this can create a false sense of security that can come back to bite you on the ass. Mine has a  big chunk out of it, but thankfully there is still plenty of it left...

Quirky its good to hear you found a positive in amongst all the negative. Maybe things do happen for a reason or maybe not, but often they happen to lead us to something else that we might have missed before. This has lead another blogger to you...

Quirky, I haven't been around much

lately and thankfully, I did not see what you saw, however, as corny as it sounds I do believe that the trials we face in this life help us become stronger and better persons and helps with the healing process as well.  You are one strong woman and I admire the fact that you have shared so much of yourself with us. Many others would not choose to share what you have and it takes some guts to face your challenges and deal with them.

Love.

Exactly Quirky, you had found the reason and I assure you that in life there are so many variables but only one constant - and I think you had realized it. Good job!

Quirky,
Glad you're working through things -- whetherthey happened for a reason or just, as Tallon said, happen the key is you -- how you react and what lessons you take away. You seem to be taking positive lessons away from the experience(s).

evangeline--what do you think my book should be about? I have so many
ideas but I always get stuck trying to understand what I would want my "message" to be. As for your question about counseling, I've gotten lots of that through the years. I think what happened the other day was needed to take my healing process to the next level, and I believe I can do that through my writing and my work with a holistic doctor. As for the comment about being a guide, I've been told that through my writing I would be like a "door opener" for seekers. So your intuition is on target.

I told you that you were needed

Step away from the pain and move toward your future....have you considered counseling? You have a very pure heart and you must be an old soul, otherwise you would not have been saddled with such difficult karma.  I see guide, teacher, mentor written all over you.

I think you should write a book about this.  You write so beautifully and....you are needed.

Keep the faith!

Quirky-

Considering the past ten years of my life, I KNOW that everything happens for a reason.  I think that it is our responsibility to get PAST these things that happen, especially the bad ones, so you can learn from it, and even though you may not think you learned anything, later on down the road, you'll remember that you did.

I'm glad to hear you are putting this in the right area of your life and your mind.

zerta, thanks. The ultimate goal for me as a writer is to reach people,
so touching just one single person, making a difference to them in their life, makes it all worthwhile. Welcome to Blogit, I hope the coming days are not so much like a circus side-show.

Talion, I don't really agree with all you said, but that's okay, I love you
for expressing your opinion. I do agree with this though: "How we react to "things" is a testament to who we are." That was in my blog a few days ago. I hope I did okay this time.

Everything happens for a reason

Hi, I am new to this weblogI think I joined the day of your post that the unthinkable had happened..

You write:

<<If I could go back and choose not to go through the emotional hell of the other day, I wouldn't.  I would let the event unfold exactly as it did, because everything happens for a reason, even the bad stuff.>>

It's amazing to think that good comes out of bad, that healing comes out of pain.  Most amazing is when we get it and further, share our light with others, as you did by your words reaching out and touching someone else who has suffered like you.

I look forward to getting to know you through your words.  Thank you for sharing.

Quirk
Things don't happen for a reason, they simply happen. It's up to us to fathom what the experience means. It's up to us whether it will effect us in a positive or negative manner. It's up to us whether the situation with strengthen or defeat us. How we react to "things" is a testament to who we are.

I am so glad you can see that 'good side' of human nature. I am very much like you in that respect. I think there are People - those worthy of continued breathing - and Humans - those that exist because it's illegal and immoral to remove them from this solar mud-ball we call home. I'm finding that there are more People than Humans out there, it just takes some time to get to know them. I am very pleased that you didn't leave, and that you're okay.

That's a beautiful attitude! If we walk away from the challenges and

the pains of life, we often miss the wonderful blessing that's in store, not only for ourselves, but through our example and hardship, for others, too.  Thanks for setting a good example of endurance.
