yikes, yes I have been to M Island many years ago--let's see, it;s been 26 years ago when I first got married. Even make love under the bridge (in our parents motor home) True confessions. Ahhh, young love.

Yes, I would say a vacation is in order!
In your post, one of the places you ask about is Michigan. Every year we go to Mackinac Island for Labor Day weekend. It's peaceful and beautiful and you have to get there by ferry boat. No cars are allowed so it's very pleasant. On Labor Day Monday, about 40,000 or so people walk the Mackinac Bridge, which is about 5 miles long, and spans the Straights Of Mackinac, which separate Lakes Huron and Michigan. If you are fascinated by heights, well, you haven't seen anything to you see this! You are about 200 feet above water, and it can be windy, so the bridge sways just a bit. At one point they have these grates on the bridge. As you walk over them you can see directly down to the water. If you are looking for a place to go in Michigan, Mackinac Island is the place to go!
