Can open the wrong doors
With a sterilization law there would be a lot of room for abuse. What if a woman, unlettered and uneducated, has two pregnancies that result in still births because of her ignorance. Is she a candidate? Would a judge be more inclined to order sterilization for blacks than for whites?

Some people shouldn't be parents
Very interesting and disturbing. Unless a woman is on drugs, there's no way she can't know she's at least in her second trimiester.

it makes some sense...
but it is a scary prospect... it could escalate to the state china was/is in where only one child per family is allowed causing forced abortions and baby girl murders etc.
Besides, if the government decided you were, say, for example, stupid.. would they have the right to give you a lobotomy so you can't cause anyone trouble?
