harveyg736 beat me
to the punch. Naughty MIGHT be nice.

All I could say is if you can't find a second opinion try what your doctor advises but make sure your hubs knows what you are taking. Also you know your own body well enough to know quickly whether you are having a negative reaction. I needed antibiotics last year and the one indicated was a relative of penicillin, to which I am allergic. I let my wife know what was going on just in case I needed emergency aid. I did have a reaction but it was hives and itching. He put me on a different antibiotic and I was all right. Do you trust your doctor? You could also google your steroid meds and see a few different reports on its effects. Take care sister Symphony.

Depends. Do you trust your doctor? Do you want to get a copy of your medical record and start afresh with a new doctor?

I once tried anti-depressants on my own, but the doctor did not
ask me if I was taking the pill. It turned out that the pill was causing all the mood changes. After I quit taking the pill, I never experienced the same problem with mood swings again. Plus the anti-depressants gave me splitting headaches.
Then I was again misprescribed anti-depressants when I had exhausted myself, had not eaten properly for a short period of time, and almost passed out at work. The doctor did not ask me about my recent activities, and assumed that I was experiencing depression. The mind-controlling drugs caused me to behave strangely because of my sensitivity to them, and my relatives have firmly believed ever since that I have emotional problems.
My advice is all negative on the mind drugs. They all get an "F".
