Inkwell is just incapable of independent thought, although so are most Christians it seems. I know this due to Inkwell's so great and open minded comment, such as the one stated here. You can be capable of
independent thought and not agree with me. But if all you can do is tell me I am wrong and a sinner and doing the devils work, then you are showing that you can not think for yourself. Inkwell showed that every word I had written went in one ear and out the other and that my ideas were not worth thinking about because the so disagree with one set of beliefs. You come close to doing the same, but at least you try to debate, even if you do not understand the idea of how to get a point across.

First off it was the serpent who tempted Adam and Eve. It was not satan until some time later when someone decided it to be. The Bible itself does not claim it to be Satan at all.

As for the whole Christ thing, if you look at the true origins of Satan (Which most, if not all Christians wish to deny this fact) Satan was a title to whatever angel it was who's duty was to play the bad guy in a situation. So in this case the Satan's job was to try and bribe Jesus.

Anyway, in both cases (if they were done by the Devil) Satan does no great evil. WIth Adam and Eve, yeah that removed the m from paradise but it also allowed for them to go and have kids and create society. Without that happening Adam and Eve would have been it, living in paradise forever. None of us would ever have been born. And Jesus was being tested. We can not say from what is given in the Bible was the true motives of the Satan were.

If those are the only acts you can find that Satan committed throughout the whole of the Bible, then you have no proof what-so-ever that Satan is evil and out to ruin humanity.

I hope you are not an attorney, because I would hate to ever end up as your client. You kind of reasoning would loose case after case.

no, you're not a satanist
he's clever and he knows the Bible better than you do.

He tempted Adam and Eve and he tempted Christ.

anyone who doesn't agree with you is incapable of
independent thought, it seems.

There is no hell.
But I already know that you are one who can not accept any new ideas or new ways of thinking.
