But the beauty in your beliefs is that you don't try to sell them, like they do.

I was going to say, If she had been a Mormon -- but they've got male teenage elders doing that so she wasn't one.

two (maybe more) things
first, you should have asked her for literature -- if she had been a Jehovah's Witness, then you could have quoted from their works to show that they believe in Christ.

second, you've got to watch telling these door-to-door types that you are an Atheist -- you might just get one that'll spend all day trying to convert you.

If you tell them you're an Episcopalian then they go away right away -- they feel it's no use.

nothing more

it's kindly of you, kooka to want to spread your word
but anyone can get beer at the corner and porn in their house.

I get people at my door all the time. My Jewish neighbor sends them over to get them off his doorstep. He likes to tell them we're ripe for conversion.

I don't believe this, but if you tell them you worship Satan- they run away real fast.

My mom did it once.

It was funny.

I told this one older lady
that I thought Christianity was chauvinistic, and her husband banned her from talking to me and yelled at me. I didn't expect that out of a Jehovah's Witness, but it was funny. I don't act like that any more, at the time I was young and angry at men. Just the remembering the red in his face, it was funny.
