sacrificing animals is barbaric
Sorry, westwend, but I have a big problem with sacrificing animals for any reason--particularly since animals are sinless by definition. They don't have a cerebral cortex like we do, which can make us do mischief ("sin" to you people of faith). The animals have no choice in the matter. It's the equivalent of sacrificing human babies, who also don't understand. Why don't they just ask for adult human volunteers who want to be sacrificed? At least they'd understand what's happening and be able to make an informed decision.
