Absolutly-- I applaud you
Children are more asute than most parents give them credit for. I have 4 daughters and we have always been open and honest with them. They know just by my actions and mood when something is amok and I have never lied to my girls and I never will. The truth is always the best route to go. They build trust in you and respect, therefore they come to you when they have troubles of their own. This is great once they reach puberty!!
