Well, maybe it has something to do with the way you're formatting the content in your blog. There should be no difference. And there usually isn't when people simply write into their blog using the regular toolbar that shows up on IE on Windows.

Also, permalink is the permanent link to each post or comment. The blog URL is the link that brings you to your blog no matter what the newest post might be. But again each one is formatted the same way on our end.

Blogit pages' width

There's no difference in width between the two. There may appear to be a difference because the permalink includes the blog description text while on a regular Blogit page the blog description is on top only.
