Lone, I have to agree with you, even if I know intellectually i know hell is a conveyeance of control and guilt, used to sell indulgences during medieval times. Thanks for reading.

hell for Reagan
If there is a hell, then Reagan should be going there, for all the deaths he caused that he could have prevented or at least delayed.

the right and left of it all

KingArthur, I watched the tax burden shift from those with te affluence to afford it to the backs of working people whose wage potential has diminished. Having said that though, I am not the sort of woman that cannot remeber decencies. Even for people I disagreed with, especially sometimes for my opponents because that shows the difference in who we are as people. Thanks for reading

Well, I am thankful
for Reagan's spawning of conservatism in American, as I think without it, no business would survive what the current tax burden would be. However, given your views, I have to appreciate your respect for his family at this point. I wish others followed your example.

the myth of the right

Damon and Msaries; we who lived through the reagan-thatcher years can remember with clarity what time and mythmaking will blur for our fellow citizens.

I Have Huge...
...reservations myself, even from way over here, about the spin the Reaganites are regurgitating at this time.

I feel a post coming on...

Raven, I envision all the eulogies for Reagan. I remember the true story:

Ketchup, as the new vegetable, in the school lunch program, the air traffic control strike fiasco, and last but not least, Iran-Contra.  For the life of me, I can't remember any positive accomplishments of the Reagan Administration.  You see, I'm not wealthy.  Not to worry, the spin doctors will find some paltry accomplishments.  Good luck to them...

Bush will, undoubtedly, milk this--Reagan's death--opportunity until the udders bleed.  Let's hope the voters can see past all this hype, for America's sake.
