Speed of site

sftreat, the Blogit site should not be slower. As you may remember, we recently made significant investments in the Blogit infrastructure so that it can better handle current and future traffic. Please let us know if you are seeing slow loading times for any of the Blogit pages.

Thank you.

$$$ in your pocket
Don't forget that any Blogit advertising helps you as a writer.  The more members, the more readers you can have, the more money goes in your pocket!

Don't hate it, but yeah
I like clicking on the home page and seeing the new posts starting right there.  Also, they system seems slower, but then it is a heavily used site.  I could never do this and do it as well...  So, they should get some of the juice from this work.  Happy blogging.  Treat

New design all about promoting writers

I'm sorry you feel that way. Personally, I think the main graphic does a great job of advertising many different writers by encouraging readers to try blogs in various categories. So I'm not sure what would make it look like a Blogit ad; could you clarify?

As explained in our original News post, there really was no choice but to move New Posts to its own page. There were simply too many people posting misplaced mature audiences (MA) content -- not to mention other abuse such as spamming. We can post policies and ask people to follow them all day long, but if people ignore them, we end up having to make changes.

Many web sites simply don't allow MA content, so it would have been a lot easier for us to simply prohibit it. Instead, we hoped that we could rely on writers to place MA content in the right place, but it's not clear whether that will work long-term.
