One call from one number would be a disaster, because friends, roomates and families watch the show together, either by choice or necessity. It would also decide the victor very early in the show, because now people can split votes between contestants, giving, say, ten votes to Fantasia, five to LaToya and two to George. If the only choices were one vote for each contestant, people would only give a vote to their very, very favorite.

They should hook up caller ID and accept only one phone call, from one phone number. The programming would probably be a bitch but I think it would be worth it. I'm glad Fantasia won. I think that Diana will have a great career, especially once she gets some more life experience or sticks to younger songs.
