Thanks for the feedback.

We think having the press buzz as part of the rotating spotlight is quite acceptable. We want to make sure that new readers and potential subscribers see what the press and Blogit members are saying about the site.

And we hope that this will encourage them to join the Blogit community since more readers equals more income for all writers -- which is a good thing!

Gotta say, I'm not totally digging the new design.

Having the press stuff so big, so upfront in a "tooting our own horn" fashion is kind of tacky.  Plus, the focus should be on the blogs like it was before.  That's why I joined, because you could really see writers and who was here...that was the focus, unlike other blogging websites.

Brian, many new bloggers have told me that long before they joined

they read my blogs (what they could see) and it was because of me they decided to join.  Geez, wish you all would have counted those as a a referrals!    By the way, have I referred anyone?

Looking forward to that dance...

Sure

I'll throw a cocktail party when you're #1 in the number of referrals to Blogit (that is, when you've beaten ritchie in signing up new subscribers)!

And yes I'll save a dance for you!

Brian, when will you throw a cocktail party for all of us?
I hope you'll save a dance for me.
