yeah well they (I'm not) are hornswoggled (sp?).
Whatever they are told they believe.
People don't want to upset their "ordered" and "stable" lives by challenging what is told to them, whether in politics OR religion.
It can be too traumatic.
talk with people some time -- argue with them -- they fear what is different -- it's a survival mechanism on a personal level.

It is our fault, the people who vote for our President, Senators and Congressmen. It is our fault for not writing, calling and otherwise letting those in power know how we feel, and back up what we tell them with our votes. It is time for us to concentrate on our own problems and keep out of international wars, unless we are directly attacked (I know, I know, 9-11; but that is not why we are in Iraq, folks!).
Time to vote LIbertarian, folks. They would not have gotten us into this mess, had they been in power.
