It's the more we depend on another person to define our religion, to organize religion for us.

I never mentioned this before -- but looking at all your "churches" -- do you know you've pretty well got ideas that were part of the early New Testament Church -- "two or three shall speak at a time" and so on.
The early church was pretty well egalitarian (had to keep a lot of this under wraps because of the society around) and the people elected their "leaders", who were recognized as being more spiritually perceptive.

Could be you're on the verge of a "Great Renewal" here.
