                    Religion aside (which is where I usually leave it) . . .
                
                The social ramifications are far reaching. Children, growing up, will be presented with and will have to accept, new family models and will realize that there are choices available to them outside of the Dick and Jane model family. I won't say that this is a good or bad thing but it certainly will be fascinating to observe.

                Exactly my point, and thanks for bringing out some of the other Biblical laws I had forgotten to mention . . . . .    If religion does not help people now, not just in some undefined heaven, it is worthless.

                    Please, thank goodness, someone reasonable.  It seems to say, also,
                
                that one cannot trim one's sideburns, 
touch, let alone 
eat, pork, and a plethora of other things ridiculous by today's standards.  One cannot pick and choose which passages of the bible still apply and which to ignore, in my book, without being a hypocrite.
