Ahh Passion, I couldn't agree with you more. And yes, it was my Grandma.
By the time I was two and a half, I knew all the lyrics to all the Christmas carols.  Tha't because my Grandma sang to me constantly.  She listened to big band, and I used to call it her 'dippy music'.  But now, I listen to it and it makes me so happy.  I'm going home in June for her 75th birthday party, and I can't wait.

It sounds like your Grandma is mostly responsible for your love of music. I understand your feelings. Music has a physical effect on my emotions. Certain songs can actually make me feel better or euphoric. Music works on me like drugs. If it weren't for music, I couldn't stay on this God-forsaken planet.

at the moment
the cat empire (australian band) is my absolute fave (check them out online if you have a chance) but I love Sarah McLachlan - Ice Cream is one of my faves, its from a movie, I think Untamed Heart but I''m not sure. Dido is also good.

"music is the language we all understand"
I love music. I love dancing. Whenver my day gets too hectic and the kids get too riled up, I crank the tunes and we dance around the house like mad people. I love the golden oldies and classic rock. I have a song for every mood. Hotel California is great for when I'm feeling sorry for myself, that or Nothing Else Matters. Umm... so many so many... "in the summer time whne the weather is hot de de de de dadadadada I got women I got women on my mind, is a good happy upbeat song. I know every word to tons of songs, but ashamedly, I know nothing of bands or artists. Billy Joel, I love Billy Joel. So much music. Gotta love it!

it's yours, lady. Siempre y Siempre. Do with it as you will. As for your musical inspirations, ALL of them are mine as well.

Teddy
That is exactly how I feel...you have an amazing gift.  That poem may as well have been my own, it so accurately discribes me.

she's a dancefloor girl
the music fills her soul
the vibrations from the floor
are the beat of her heart
she's a dancefloor girl
play the song she feels the most
and she will dance
oblivious to the rest
as if gliding through some sweet trance
the music fills her soul
and she is freed

Ah, music.
Saves my soul.  Try Joss Stone sometime, new artist, good old fashioned soul.  For me lately it's all about her and Eric Clapton.
