I told my mom right before my son turned 3 that I was glad we're getting out of the terrible twos and she laughed and said: "honey, it just gets worse when they are 3!" But then she followed up with "Eventually they get better and move out!"

I can relate to the sleeplessness....
of the 3 year old, I have one almost that age myself. Refuses to sleep and cries for everything when exhaustion hits..yet he won't sleep....This makes life hellish. They will get past this age at some point, hopefully we're not driven mad first!

My h. is just finishing a stint of midnights. I have a 5, 3 and 1 year old
and they are uhhh, active. He isn't sleeping well, so he is short with us all. I was okay with the midnights until at midnight one night...Monday I think...a pipe burst at midnight. Now I am nervous as a cat, and only sleeping 4 hours a night.
I feel you. Tie a knot and hang on!!

All mothers have been through this. It will make you tougher for when they get to be teenagers.
