CHRISTIANS' IDOL
Basically you're talking about a God fashioned in a a person's desired image -- a "defined" god, if you will.
It isnatural to want to worship an image -- with all the chaos (interesting that some don't think there is chaos) around, people want something material that they want to hang on to.
they can't let go -- it's their foundation.
Yet it's a house built on sand and they don't really know it.
they need to dispel the myth and find the REAL solidity to their lives -- which is within themselves.
they don't believe in the deity of the self.
chaos comes again and they can certainly lose that which they hang on to.
this God you describe is certainly a construct.

Yes
But old covenant is supposedly the same God as in the new. Although Cantey claimed it to be Satan, but that gets strange because in the NT there is talk about great the God of Abraham was, which either says Satan was great or that OT and NT are the same.

And God does just about nothing in the NT. It is all Jesus, so there all of what we can learn from watching God happens in the OT.

More than one way to raise children.
Have you ever taught your child by showing them what doesn't work?  Most of what you described is old covenant.
