There is soemthing to learn from all forms of myth, including the ones of Jesus

You testify in your post that you do not need to reference the historical Jesus to know how to be good. I submit there is much to learn from a historical figure such as Jesus.

Good point. What the hell does that have to do with my post though?

History is always helpful.  You can't know where you are going unless you know where you have been.

Once again, you make a good point.
I always want to do the right thing for the right reason.  I can't always tell what that is.  Doing something just because it feels good is dangerous for me.  I have discovered that back in my times of addiction, what I was really addicted to was feeling good.  I literally thought that if I didn't feel good something was terribly wrong with me.  Doing something because it feels good, I try to keep that as a secondary motivation.
