What causes the sham in religion?
Many flavors of faith begin well, but the problem is that people are flawed and stumble, fall or even run willingly, into murky areas, which is then imposed wither directly or indirectly on the people who are not in leadership. I have seen some of this close up and made a decision a number of years ago: no more independent churches. Too much opportuntiy for the leadershiop to build their own releigion, which ends uo having little to do with, for instance, Jesus Christ, except for the use of his name. Leadership needs to be held highly accountable, by it's people and an authroity higher than each individual church.
