Possible reason

Each post's comments page shows all of the comments on the post.

As a result, as soon as you visit a post's comments page once, your web browser will show any links to that comments page as "read", even if new comments have been added to the page.

Yes, it's only when I click the "Write" link.  At first, some links would be blue and others purple; now, they are all purple whether I've read them or not.

Unlikely

It is unlikely that a hacker is using your account to read comments on your blogs.

Can you please explain this a little further. You are seeing this happen only when you click on the "Write" link and then on "View new comments" to see the comments left on your own blogs?
