P.S.
Using the brain that Christians believe that God created to think, ponder and imagine, is never sacriligious, no matter what some might say.

my thoughts EXACTLY!

there are parts of the Bible that hold great meaning for me (though I'm Pagan I admire Christ greatly and accept the possibility that he is a prophet...)

I see nothing wrong with picking out great quotes and telling someone how it affects your life...  its just that the ppl I am referring to NEVER do!

toole, poetic, both onto something...

Posting a verse of scripture is nice, don't get me wrong.  I have used scripture in my blogs as well.  It's that lack of commentary--both of you hit on it--that bothers me.  We are not mind readers.  If you quote John 6:24, can you explain why?  The beauty of REAL Christian thought is the application of the Scriptures to our daily living.  This includes, for me in this forum, expressing myself as a result of reading them.  Running around quoting chapters and verses, without any thought, expression or insight is pointless, and reduces the Bible to nothing more than a dumb book.

sacreligious?

you men free thought? independant ideas from that which is put in front of them?

Christians who behave as such are sacreligious in ESSENCE. *sigh

But theres really no use arguing over it or even debating it anymore... As you may have noticed, I tend to stay out of the religious battles.

But you're right. A commentary is fine. But the damned line for line and thats it thing HAS TO STOP!

It's not that bad...

at least they don't have to worry about GOD coming after them for plagerizing, right?

I like to see some creativity and thought as well.  If you want to post some Bible veses, you might consider talking about what they mean to your, or something.  I think for some Christians that would be sacreligious though.
