So Very True

And some companies, believe it or not, didn't even upgrade when Y2K came along to scare us all. My computer at work, God help me, is, I THINK, an original Pentium chip.  It's something like 33MHz and only 64Mb of RAM. It has a few of the Office programs on it (Word, Outlook/Outlook Express, Excel), but they're the '97 versions-----which means I can't use the Outlook calendar because I can't import holidays anymore. When I tried to run Explorer and Word at the same time, the computer crashed. (My previous work computer was a Pentium III with Office Suite 2002, so I'm used to having 10 different programs running at once.) When I asked our resident "expert" to figure out why my e-mail wouldn't send, he had to call the technician. The tech found that we had changed providers and no one had a) updated my software or b) even bothered to tell me so I could do it. I think the resident "expert" is about to be deposed. LOL.
