If the value of the stock was dependent upon Martha Stewart's participation, and lost most of its value once she pulled out, then the people who bought it were not informed. The company should be responsible for the value of its own product. As I see it, Martha was in no way responsible for being the upholder of the stock's value. It didn't stand on its own. If the company had told its new stockbuyers that they were buying Martha Stewart's discards, would they have invested? How is Martha responsible for that?
Jail time? NO WAY! I wouldn't approve one second of jail time for Martha Stewart, and I think she should be reimbursed for all of this harrassment.

Andrea, i too , believe that Martha will make............
a comeback. However I also feel that she should do some time( not much) and I am a woman. Actually, her crime hurt many people. This was not a victimless crime. Some people bought the stock she sold and lost a ton of money. Martha herself was a stockbroker ,and she above all should be held accountable for her actions.On inside information, she sold a stock which was going to tank the very next day. What if that had been you or I who had bought her stock. Imagine our fury once we knew we had been snookered! I live by the law. I expect mychildren to do so too.And yes, I expect it even of the rich and famous.........I
