No basis for the war in Iraq -- WAKE UP!
The liberal media?!!! WHAT liberal media? No one in the mainstream media is critiquing the Bush administration's policy -- they are simply reporting on their position, which renders them de facto mouthpieces of the administration.
Any member of the intelligence community (who are generally a conservative bunch) will tell you that Iraq had nothing to do with the 9/11 attack on this country; was not supportive of (and was not in the position to support) terrorist groups; and had a tenuous connection with Al Qaeda (indeed, the Islamic fundamentalism of this group was anathema to the pan-Arab nationalism of Hussein). In fact, the Iraqi invasion has EXACERBATED the threat of terrorism -- the chaos and anarchy in the country, and the conflict and tension erupting among factions in the country, has actually created a breeding ground for terrorists. Osama bin Laden and other ringleaders of the 9/11 attack (who remain at large, thanks to the ineptitude of the Bush administration) are now able to use the Iraqi invasion as an effective recruiting tool for terrorists in their network -- and their ranks have swelled as a consequence. This is why terrorist attacks are now at AN ALL-TIME HIGH!
You do not establish a democracy at a point of the gun -- and Iraq is not in a position (and is not likely to ever be in a position) to spread whatever tenuous democracy we can establish there. The best we can hope for with Iraq is a weak federation of various factions in the country that can maintain a peaceful, albeit fragile, coexistence with one another. To expect it to be a model democracy for other countries in the Middle East is ludicrous.

You've never heard this before? Maybe you should stop watching the liberal media, who only tell you what they want you to know, but not the real facts about anything.
Have you heard anything president Bush has been saying for the past three years? The Veteran was correct, those Iraqis have never had a real government and the terrorists there are trying to prevent democracy from being formed.
