BB, thanks for your comment, I know you were recently involved in

a move. We are still in the process, have signed a P&S and will close on our new place in April.

I can hardly wait to get through all this relocation business.

What a shame for your mother that she doesn't look for the light in people. But lucky for you that you haven't turned out like her. I too have missed your posts.

Lovely yet bittersweet post..
Your friend sounds like an awesome woman!!  Sorry to say, I missed her appearance. Kind of reminds me of my grandmother, who was requesting to go out dancing again 2 weeks before she died at the age of 90. She too, gave generously of her time and energy to those in need and tried to teach her many granddaughters to be strong, proud women. Her daughter, however...my mother..not sure what went so terribly wrong there...I can relate. Thank you for sharing. Your writing is as wonderful as always.

Cynthia:

Oh my goodness - I actually caught her on Jay I think, which is odd cos I don't normally watch him ever.  But I remember her I think - quite an amazing lady!  People like her are rare, and precious.

P.S. Glad to see you back!  Was wondering when this blog would resurface in My Favorites.
