Comments and Earnings
The earnings system is controlled by readers, and is based on how often they read a particular writer. For example, if a particular reader reads a writer 20% of the time, that writer will receive 20% of their monthly payment to writers.
This means that the writers who earn the most are the ones who consistently post work of interest. Writers can even write multiple blogs to appeal to different groups of readers.
Earnings are not connected to comments.

I think I just asked that. And, yes you can comment on a blog without reading it. Some people do it all the time. I have no clue why you would want to, but there ya' go.

Do we also get paid if a blogger leaves comments? One could really go to just the comment page and never really read the blog.
