from poetjpb, am I a teacher???
Good questions. Online classes are at Universal Class. Students are adults.
I am an English major with the focus in Creative Writing, graduated with honors (BA).
Won First place and honorable mention for my poetry at my college, published in the college journal.
I was one of the poetry editors at the college I attended for 1 year for the literary journal there.
I currently teach English (middle school).
I was accepted (had to write an essay and be interviewed by a panel-yikes!) I am a fellow of the South Coast Writing Project in Santa Barbara, CA. (Part of the University writing project there-UCSB Gervitz Graduate School)
I have had 5 poems published (small publications) with payment and one personal narrative essay published in a book of essays and vignettes. Hey the book was at Borders Bookstores, a major chain. I self-published my own book (84 poems) for my friends, family and have even sold a dozen or so. I have not promoted this much. Just love giving it out, but I think it does show I am serious about my writing.
I write a lot and every day.
Poetry is my passion and the thing I keep returning to time and time again.
But I often ask myself; am I qualified to teach poetry? I continually beat myself up, wish I had my MFA or doctorate. Kick myself for not furthering my education. But this is part of my quest to "be a writer, act like a writer, live it, breathe it, eat it..."
What do you think? I respect your opinion honestly.
PS I still feel my writing will evolve, change, and get better with time and practice. I do not think I have arrived yet. I am looking forward to trying new approaches. I want to read more of other greats, a must.

Need Backstory:
Whose students are these?
How old? What grade?
Is class mandatory or not?
Does grade count?
Otherwise, outline seems fine.
Parsifal.
