From Bunny to Shavonne

I appreciate your comments, but now I feel guilty that I haven't been adding to this blog! It's so hard to maintain all the blogs I'd like to maintain!

As for the purpose of the this blog, you should have seen the horrible comments I removed! It was really quite a personal sacrifice for me to insist that this blog is for information and pro-choice discussion only, because the forced-birth proponants (isn't that a great term? I've seen it in letters to the editor of our local paper) gave me GREAT ratings. I've never, ever had ratings like that, before or since. Ka-CHING!

But I've refused to "vote my pocketbook" on this issue before, sending money to and voting in pro-choice Democrats when anti-choice Republicans would have been better for my bottom line. And so it became with this blog. I really felt that people who wanted information about the fight for reproductive rights, not to mention medical information about abortion, birth control and women's health in general, should be about to have at least one place on Blogit to get it strife- and conflict-free.

I was really hoping more readers would send me stories to post (you can find mine if you read back.) But since I know there are readers who are still interested in this blog, and new ones like you, Shavonne, I will try harder to post information regularly.

Thank you for maintaining a blog on this issue.  I am one that supports CHOICE.  Though I would never have an abortion, I still think women should have a choice on whether they want to be pregnant or not.  Of course, I also believe if a woman doesn't want to get pregnant, she should use some form of contraceptive.

I wish you would reconsider allowing those that oppose abortion to have their say.  I've discussed this issue with CCNews.  It was peaceful, not at all an ugly arguement.  He had his say, I had mine.  We weren't able to reach middle ground, but hey, there is no middle ground on this issue.

Bunny,
Just to let ya know I read ya, very weighty issue here and I admire you for being passionate about it. It;s one of those things I can't sort out, like capital punishment, even though we don't have that In Canada anymore. I think too we are more liberal on the subject of abortion, but all I know for sure is, if God had wanted me to have the responsibility, he would have made me female.
