temple, walk thru the world as a
pilgrim on a journey.  people will fail you.  but life will never fail you.  the earth is big, impassionate and beautiful with no concern for your safety, happiness, or well being.  i find this a comforting thought because it reminds you that you are in charge.  John Wayne said being able to put both feet on the floor every morning and go about his day was the thing he was most thankful for.  i believe him...

Rajah
It does go back and forth doesn't it?  I guess the idea is to keep yourself centered and focused on the good things, on the things you want, as much as possible.  You are such a good Mommy!  :)

I hear ya for sure.  I think I've just always been one of those people who is ready for bad stuff to happen, because it's always been that way.  A bit of bad luck and a bit of self-fulfilling prophecy I guess.  I love your slogans!  Thanks!

I have some good days and some bad days.

Some days all I can think about is the past.  I get all depressed.  Other days I'm like "Screw the past, bring on the future!"  I don't actually say that though,  I have kids in the house!

I guess I'm just a different type of person. I have never had this kind of a problesm, could be it hasn't found me yet. I have some mottos I live by. "If your not having fun it's time to make a change." I taught my daughters that fun is very important and that there are many different ways to have fun. It's not all about laughter all the time. "If people don't like what they see when they look at me, too bad looks are free and they can feel free to look elsewhere. It's there loss." "Live everyday so that you can like yourself, it doesn't matter what others think as lomg as you like who you are." There's a long list of them, but the bottom line is this.....it's my life and I only get one go around, I will not give anyone enough power over me to spoil it!

I think seeing life for what it is, is my problem right now! <lol>
I totally know what you are saying, Sparky.  I can see in your writing that you are able to do that.  With me, the perspective comes and goes...good...then bad...etc.  There have been so unbelievably many obstacles recently, it's been harder than before.  I think when things are uncertain, it's hard to find your grounding, you know?  Tomorrow, who knows, I'll be singing love songs or some shit! <grin>

We are different (characters) for everyone.

"Who you really are" is for you to know! I just try to enjoy life for what it is. Having Baby makes it easier to see things in this perspective I guess.
