On Blogging
Celeste, when I first came to BN, I was unsure of how what approach to take. I have deleted and added blogs, there are short stories, stories under development, journal entries, general comments, trip logs, best places and so on. I write in them all and if I find that I am not adding to a category, I consider consolidating. This is a place for development not only because it is addictive and it encourages people to write, but it is encouraging. It is interesting to me to see how many people read my work, good or bad; to read the comments and to see my percentages of a cent grow because of it. I love it here.

Write and develop definitely - and when people react to your stuff, in whatever way, it helps with that development for sure.

Editing...
Write in word, it has spell check. Cut and paste. I too, hate to edit, but poetry and serious stuff require proofreading at least, because I tend to be dyslexic. I still don't know if I am blogging, but I am having fun.
