Longing for Fall...

When temperatures give birth to soaring heights and oil-greased bodies soaking sun make themselves at home along the shore, my heart begins to yearn for Autumn breezes blowin’ crisp and cool through molting trees with falling leaves stained yellow, gold and orange scattered over softened grass like watercolored sheets. And as I swelter in this never-ending heat without relief, I long for wintry, rainy days with Haydn on the radio, the scent of smoke rising from a nearby chimney, chestnuts...
