Education today is pretty much the same as it was 50 years ago, except for technology. The old factory method of serving up the learning to students who roll through the assembly line of learning, grade by grade and subject by subject. This method of educating kids is not good enough, kids deserve more. Stay with me as we explore how you can help you own child, grandchild or kids you care about. Learn how to assess your child's school, learning opportunities and gifted areas. There is too much knowledge and too many "facts" to memorize everything. The testing that takes place may or may not be fair to students. The key to being successful in life is to learn how to learn and to zero in on the things that are of most interest and cause a deep desire to learn. Too many classes today demand only perfection, just one right answer to a test question. This is not fair, there are many good answers and maybe more than one right answer.
