Dewey, the Library Kitty

I've just finished reading this wonderful book about Dewey, a cat that lived in the Spencer, Iowa, Public Libary. He was found as a tiny kitten in the book drop on one of the coldest days of the year. How he didn't get smashed to death by piles of books is a miracle in itself to me. He was taken in... Midi and I are back

It's hard to believe it's been so long. I was just turning 50 when I wrote last here. Now I'm 53. And I think I'm more content and happy than I've ever been in my life. Life must really begin at 50. On Turning 50...

In about seven hours I will turn 50. It's funny, my 50th birthday is on a Sunday, and it was on a Sunday 50 years ago that I was born at 5:00 in the morning. Just found out my topic at Suite101 has been archived and is up for adoption! I had asked for some time off because of my divorce, but I guess I took too long. Miracles

I believe in them. So many things have happened in the past year, so many amazing things, if I didn't believe before, no way could I not believe now. Death at Any Age

A year ago a colleague who was just older than me lost her life on the way home from a meeting. Such a waste, she was successful, had a husband and two teenage kids, so much to live for, but suddenly her life was gone.
