When I was a teenager, in the fall we'd stop at a farm stand and get cider with their homemade donuts. Yummm...!

Fun times! I suspect that most cars would not have passed up a doughnut shop. Guilty pleasures are just a part of the deal when it comes to the human appetite. As for Diehard, that is one of my hubby's favorites. 🍩

My little grandson, who was about 11 at the time, was in the back seat as his dad drove home from a visit to a playground somewhere. Matt, and his little sister Amy began to clamor for a stop at a Krispy Kreme shop. "You simply must try one of these donuts, Grandma," Matt said to me. And so we watched the process as dough was cut, the circles floated in a hot grease bath, and picked up on a conveyor to be doused with liquid sugar. "You simply must..." tickled my funny-bone and you just reminded me of that happy day. Thank you.

Most of my used to be "must do's" have become not so important to me. Most are now "if I want to's" or "I'll think about it's".
