Usually too intense for me as a rule, with the exception of Hitchcock. I have heard a similar explanation as to why people enjoy horror movies/shows, stating that they tend to make one's reality much more bearable after viewing them. Glad you enjoyed and it does make sense.Â

I sometimes find that the scripted shows are just--too pat, too contrived, and then the true-crime shows are more interesting.Â
