I love this post! Kids are a crack-up. You are a cool Grams. I have one grandson who loves math. In high school he would go out of his way to be "cool" and had a fear of being a nerd. His parents would laugh because as hard as he tried, he'd almost be the kid with the pocket protecter in his shirt with 4 pens and pencils in it. (Just kidding on that part.) He's outgrown the nerd fear now.

One day he will wish he had said Yes please and Thank you. Tell you what; print them off; all those wonderful family stories and all about Rib cage and his navy stories especially the love story...oh holidays and family times with 4 little boys; and put them in a box and leave them to him to open when he is 25. It will be the best gift he will ever recieve!

Good afternoon
Yep, this sounds about right. My grandson is not a fan of school, but he loves the money that we give him for getting those A's each quarter.

One of these days he'll start wondering about "the olden days"
and the Ancestry.com thing will come up. Then he'll wish he had some of the things you've written. Funny how darnsure we are at 13 and 15 or so that we already know all that anyone needs to know. Lucky he's got a grandmother who can smile about it.
