That would make a great beginning of an apple pie

Pecans and apples are good eating and a good combo.  Especially if one has a good cup of hot tea to go with them.

I don't believe I've ever had a pecan or a walnut.

Re: Pat

We do have lashings of olive oil. My brother is food consciences I hope that is spelled right. I dare not open my cupboard to get a chocolate biscuit. Coming off of the steriods is a bit stressful, I don't like taking them but the Doctors advice .

Re: adnohr

Smack his bottom, I love walnuts but they sometimes seem to make my mouth sore .Watch it Parrot. Are you kidding adnhor? I hate my ten minutes on the treadmill.Anyway nice to hear from you, by the way I think a lot of our dahlias were killed by an extra cold  frost early in the year. They had been there nearly ten years

Would  you believe that my mouthy parrot turns up her nose (beak?) at pecans? She prefers walnuts, and is not shy about showing it. Medications always seem to have nasty side effects. Maybe try jogging as a counter measure?

I believe edible greens and other veggies as a salad are not going

to put weight on you if you're hungry - unless you slather them in fatty salad dressings. I think maybe I've become a little to fond of creamy ranch dressing which is sure to pack weight around the waist. An itty bitty dribble of olive oil with a dash of apple cider vinegar might be a safe alternative. I hope you're feeling well.

Good morning

Steroids are the worst when it comes to hunger cravings, and they pack on added and unwanted weight. I am assuming that the "rocket" that you are growing is Arugula or something similar. I love using it in salads and on sandwiches. It is sad that your brother suffers so much. Living with pain is not fun by any means. Enjoy your fresh greens and have a wonderful day.
