Re: Re: TAPS,

It was in a bedroom that no longer had an occupant since he had married and gone off to Florida.  It had a very sunny window to the south and another window to the afternoon sunshine on the west.  And I played it music with it's own boombox.

Re: TAPS,

It must have been glorious when it was so big!

Re: Sherri G,

Agreed, Haas are great for guac!  I like to use half one of the big ones for putting tuna or shrimp or chicken salad in.

I started an avocado tree once in a very sunny window of our (then) house.  It grew big fast.  By the second year it was touching the ceiling of the room it was in.  I took the thing off of the little table it was on and sat it on the floor.  It continued to grow until branches were spreading out all over the ceiling of that room.  That spring I took it outside and out of the pot it was in and planted it in the yard.  It did wonderfully well all summer and fall, but when winter came it died, as I knew it would.  It had never produced avocadoes.

Good morning

That is really cool. You must have a green thumb.I love both avocados and artichokes. I prefer the Haas avocados when making guacamole.
