Definitely a wise move to take the break. Air conditoning is a great luxury for vehicles.

Good morning

Air conditioning in cars is a blessing. You were a great mama to keep him as cool as possible and recognize that he needed a break from that hot car. I kind of figured that Australia has some treacherous hot weather conditions, so I can't imagine dealing with that without a way to cool down.

Good Morning

Kabu, I love reading your posts.  I always learn something of interest.  When we lived in Arkansas I can remember it would be 110 in the shade.  My boys were little and the heat would make me sick.  I prefer living in the North.  I love the snow but it does get hot here in the summer but not like that.

We were on a summer vacation, heading across the desert areas

of the American southwest, me and "Fang" and four kids, no A/C in our car. The breeze coming in wasn't cool, we had water, but there were no shady rest stops. We wanted to see everything, but learned to tuck in somewhere in the heat of the day and do our driving early morning when possible. Your post brought back the sweat.

I guess we all do rather dubious things when young. I bet you would not want that

ride even with air conditioning any more. Don't forget to book your ticket for space travel.

The good old days...we did the best we could under whatever the conditions.  I am so thankful now for heat in the winter and a/c in the summer.
